Description:

BASS Medical Group is a fast-growing multi-specialty group in the East Bay Area. We are seeking a detailed focused Medical Billing Supervisor with an emphasis in Professional Billing to join our collaborative team. Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience, managing team staff of 5 or more, along with at least 3 years of outstanding billing and collections experience with excellent customer service skills. We are seeking responsible and dependable candidates that have EPIC experience and leadership skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversees the preparation and accuracy of Provider charges/claims and daily operations.

• Oversees the submission of claim reports and filing procedures.

• Ensures billing operations are performed in an accurate and timely manner.

• Evaluates billing processes and procedures.

• Recommends the guidelines and workflow for an efficient billing process.

• Assists management in developing revisions for improving processes.

• Monitors the revenue cycle performance and resolves any issues.

• Needs to be familiar with ICD-10, CPT, Coding Systems as well as claim forms such as CMS-1500.

• Reports to Revenue Cycle Director.

• Supervises a team of 2 or more Billers in daily billing duties to meet KPIs, timely deadlines and revenue projections.

• Recommends solutions to denial trends and issues that affect the AR days.

• Review reimbursement for each major Payors for accuracy.

• Performs audits on each division reimbursements and trends.

• Discuss with manager suggestions on how practice can improve their revenue based on the trends.

• Contributes to the development of processes and procedures.

• Responsible for training the staff and educating them with the current compliances, guidelines, and HIPAA.

• Maintain team spirit and collaboration with the staff.

• Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.

Requirements:

• 3 year’s experience as a Full Cycle Medical Biller

• Proficiency in the use of CPT and ICD-10 codes

• Minimum 2 years hands on Epic experience in Professional Billing

• Bachelors or AA degree a plus

• CPC certification a plus

• Proven management/leadership skills

• Be able to successfully lead a team to reach company goals, monthly KPIs

• Organized and detailed-oriented

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Dependable, focused, flexible and innovative

• Ability to train and keep staff motivated

• Must possess professional work ethics and interpersonal skills

• Great attitude and a team player

• Good attendance record

• Must be flexible and adaptable to changes

• Team Success Oriented

• Knowledge in Microsoft Office i.e., excel, word, power point etc.

Pay Scale/Ranges:

Up to $35.00 per hour*

The pay scale/ranges shown are representative of the pay rates for the job title reflected above, but an employees actual pay rate will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
