Job Summary : The Senior Financial Analyst at Bass Pro Shops will provide critical financial analysis and insights to support our unique retail business. Key Responsibilities :

Financial Modeling and Analysis : Create and refine complex financial models that forecast business performance. Your curiosity will drive you to dig deep into the data, seeking out patterns and opportunities for growth.
Strategic Analysis and Reporting : Regularly prepare detailed reports on financial performance. Use your insight to go beyond the numbers, providing strategic recommendations that will guide key business decisions.
Budgeting and Forecasting : Take the initiative to lead the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
Cost Analysis and Control : Show courage by rigorously analyzing costs and spending, making bold recommendations for efficiencies and savings.
Business Partnership : Act as a key finance partner to business units, exhibiting a strong sense of initiative by proactively providing financial insights and support that contribute to the achievement of business goals.
Investment Analysis : Evaluate potential investments in business for equipment or digital assets using financial modeling to assess risk and potential returns, and present findings with conviction.
Process Improvement : Continuously seek and identify opportunities for process improvements, leveraging your insight to enhance financial reporting and analysis.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree or professional certifications (CFA, CPA) preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, demonstrating a track record of initiative, curiosity, and strategic insight.

Exceptional Excel skills to perform financial modeling and analysis, as needed

Ability to identify and understand trends through data and articulate results to all levels of leadership

Working knowledge of business intelligence applications and / or cloud services (e.g., Domo, PowerBI, etc)

SQL knowledge and comfort working with complex data tables a plus

Strong analytical skills, with a curious mindset that drives you to understand the "why" behind the numbers.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the courage to present and defend your ideas.

Strong initiative, capable of working independently and taking ownership of projects.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different teams and departments.

The role requires the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment typical of retail sectors. Expect to engage with various teams across Bass Pro Shops' diverse offerings, from retail stores to resorts and marine centers.
