POSITION SUMMARY:
The Promotional Operations Specialist I is responsible for executing the merchant's strategy for all promotional events, catalogs, club exclusive pricing, and permanent pricing. This position works cross-functionally with merchandising, demand planning, financial planning, retail admin, marketing, creative, and supply chain to ensure all departments' strategies and visions are executed accurately, efficiently, and effectively, and promotions are delivered on time. Successful individuals will be team players with drive, curiosity, and strong interpersonal skills. They will build relationships and deliver results in a complex and fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Creates, executes, and maintains all promotional events, catalogs, club exclusive pricing, and permanent pricing.
- Maintain the company calendar for all promotional events and catalogs. Help keep teams aligned with deadlines.
- Designs, develops, and documents modifications to processes, including writing SOPS.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma
- College Degree Preferred: Business, Data Management, or Related Fields
- Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Ability to work independently, balance multiple priorities at once to meet company deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, both formal and informal
- Proficient skills and understanding of the BPS MMS (JDA AS400) or a similar merchandise management system
- Strong PC skills with an emphasis on Excel and database management systems (Access or other query tools)
- Preparation, validation, and analysis of data and data trends

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regular computer work and sitting.
- Occasional walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
- Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
