POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manufacturing Engineer Manager position plans, designs, sets up, monitors, modifies and optimizes manufacturing processes. Works collaboratively with Design, Research and Development by trouble shooting and creating solution to problems and opportunities when launching new products and with existing models. Provides leadership management to Engineering team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Develops and implement manufacturing methods and techniques using Lean Sigma, Kanban, 5S, DFM, Poke-Yoke and lead the waste reduction efforts in the Manufacturing area.
Assists in the raw materials inventory and BOM accuracy.
Hands on approach to first run production trials and shop floor problem solving.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
Preferred Degree: Highly preferred degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Key Software knowledge in Digitizing and Catia
Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Familiar with 3 Axis and 6 Axis CNS Machine.
Highly organized and detail oriented
Self – Starter and ability to work with minimal supervision on projects
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment
Possess excellent leadership & teamwork abilities, and organizational skills
A genuine belief in continuous improvement with a willingness to analyze, challenge and change processes as needed
Strong leadership experience with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
