What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marina Associate position at Bass Pro Shops?
Summary:
To provide courteous and efficient service to all guests utilizing Marina and Marina equipment, to maximize guest satisfaction and Marina revenue.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are limited to, the following:
1. Handle all cash and charge sales made through the fuel dock.
2. Check out/in all rental boats.
3. Report supply levels on guest supplies for rental boats and fuel dock to Marina Manager.
4. Record fuel pump readings.
5. Maintain all areas of Marina with a high level of sanitation, (including: all dock areas, rental boats, beach area, etc.)
6. Report all accidents to Marina Manager.
7. Alert Marina Manager of potential hazard issues and prevent accidents whenever possible.
8. Report all incidents of guest dissatisfaction to the Marina Manager.
9. Assist guest with the highest level of professionalism possible.
10. Will perform other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certification: Missouri Boater Safety Card
Other Skills and Abilities:
The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, have an innate sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction.
Other Qualifications: Must be a strong swimmer and be familiar with boats.
