Videographer

POSITION SUMMARY:  

We are seeking a talented Videographer & Content Creator to join our dynamic marketing team. This role will be responsible for conceptualizing, filming, editing, and producing captivating visual content that brings the Big Cedar Lodge experience to life. From showcasing our luxury accommodations and world-class golf courses to telling compelling stories of conservation and adventure, you’ll play a key role in engaging audiences across digital platforms.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Content Creation: Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video and photo content that aligns with Big Cedar Lodge’s brand identity.
• Storytelling: Create visually engaging narratives to showcase Big Cedar Lodge’s unique amenities, events, outdoor adventures, and conservation efforts.
• Social Media Content: Develop short-form videos optimized for social platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
• Event Coverage: Capture key moments at events, weddings, golf tournaments, and seasonal activities to highlight the guest experience.
• Drone Footage: Utilize drone equipment to capture stunning aerial visuals of our picturesque landscapes and facilities.
• Editing: Edit video and photo content to ensure professional quality and alignment with marketing goals.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, social media, and creative teams to develop concepts and campaigns that drive engagement.
• Asset Management: Organize and manage a library of video and photo assets for easy retrieval and repurposing.
• Trends & Innovation: Stay up to date on video trends, content platforms, and emerging technologies to keep our content fresh and relevant.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required:    Bachelor's Degree
• Bachelor’s degree in film production, Media Studies, Communications, or related field preferred
• Experience: 2 years of experience in videography, video editing, and content creation.
• Experience in hospitality or tourism is a plus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Proficiency with video and photography equipment, including drones
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom
• Strong understanding of video composition, lighting, sound design, and editing techniques
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional storytelling and creative thinking skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms and content optimization for engagement
• Portfolio or demo reel showcasing relevant work is required
• Drone pilot certification is a plus
• Must be comfortable working outdoors and in dynamic environments

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly walks, sits, stands, and does computer work.

Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
