AUTOMATIC CUTTING OPERATOR FOR FURNITURE MANUFACTURING
An Automatic Cutting Operator sets up and operates automated cutting machines to cut fabric into parts according to specifications.
Responsibilities :
Reads cutting requests to define job specifications
Positions fabric / leather onto the table and starts the cutting machine to cut out the required pieces.
Make sure the fabric / leather is cut to specifications.
Monitors operation on cutting machine to detect malfunctions and informs supervisor of problems
Removes broken or worn cutting blades as needed
Separate cut patterns from waste and tie up covers
Standing / walking / bending required and lifting up to 50 pounds
Qualifications / Skills
6 months or more of experience working as a auto-cutter in a production setting
Ability to work well in a team oriented environment
Must be 18 years of age or older
