Job Description

• 50% Bariatric Surgery, 50% General Surgery focused on minimally invasive surgery and endoscopy
• 1:4 Bariatric call coverage General Surgery call coverage shared between 12 general surgeons
• Call coverage approximately 2 weeknights and 1 weekend day per month limited to Primary Hospital
• 180 Bed Primary Hospital with Level III Trauma Center
• Instant Referral Base provided by over 400 Network Clinicians
• Full Support Staff including PA's with Surgical Residents and Medical Student Interaction
• Dedicated General Surgery Residency Program
• Columbia-Bassett Medical School - academic appointment available
• Ambulatory surgery, endoscopy, and clinic opportunities at several regional community hospitals
• State of the Art OR's with one devoted to the Xi DaVinci Surgical System
• Two Xi DaVinchi Robots and teaching console
• EMR - EPIC
• Salary Range: $400-500K. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare's good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
• Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.

• MD, DO or MBBS
• MIS/Bariatrics Fellowship Required
• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• NYS Licensure
• BLS, ACLS and ATLS Certifications Required
