Bassett Medical Centers Inpatient Psychiatry 14- bed unit offers patients and staff a safe and collegial environment where you can make a difference with your passion and experience! Join our patient-centered team of RNs, Board Certified Psychiatrists, Social Workers, and Therapists to contribute to successful treatment plans, assessments, and overall care of our patients. Our patients needs are at the forefront everyday which guides the safe and quality patient care delivery model we strive to achieve at Bassett Medical Center.
Responsibilities :
The Nursing Assistant (NA) I is a key member to the nursing care team. They assist with direct and indirect patient care within their scope of practice, supporting patients, nursing and medical care teams. The care delivered is in collaboration and under the supervision / delegation of the Registered Nurse (RN) and / or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / The Nursing Assistant (NA) shares accountability for the quality of patient outcomes. In select departments, the NA role may also include some clerical support functions (such as phone answering, filing, computer data entry, etc.)
- Provides direct / non-direct patient care :
Performs Activity of Daily Living (ADL) care including, but not limited to :
Oral care, bathing, showering, shaving, hair washing and maintenance, incontinence care and toileting / elimination needs.
Infection prevention.
Setting and responding appropriately to patient safety alarms.
Understanding and performing regulatory compliance.
Patient turning and offloading.
Assist with meal tray delivery, collection, and documentation of amount consumed.
Use of data collection equipment : Vital signs, EKG, bladder scan, transfer devices, telemetry, Massimo
Components of vital signs, height and weight, intake and output measurement (including drains, urinary catheter and suction devices.)
Safety Attendant (SA) at bedside for prevention of unintentional or intentional (suicide precautions) self-harm.
Phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen collection, blood glucose measurement and telemetry.
Prepare patient rooms for admissions, discharges. Update whiteboards. Provide unit / room stocking of supplies.
Understands and reports out of range patient data values to covering RN.

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.

Max : USD $27.03 / Hr.
