Machine Operator/Machinist/Fabrication Talent

A Machinist will be responsible for general machining of parts for material handling equipment projects. The main emphasis for this position is CNC machining and programming other duties may include manual machining (tapping, countersink, lathe, mill), material movement, as well as general maintenance of machinery and adhering to required tolerances/dimensions for each customized part.

• Key emphasis is on safe and efficient machine programming, setup, and operation
• Ensure tasks are executed in the most effective manner in regards to time, cost and function
• Show top notch craftsmanship in all aspects of job
• Open to taking direction and learning from the Production/Manufacturing leadership
• Machines include manual CNC mill & lathe (with bar feeder), manual saws, as well as other machine shop equipment
• Works from solid models and engineering drawings to produce parts
• Ability to program, set up, fixture, and operate CNC mill/lathe and other manual equipment
• Repair and maintain production equipment and facilities as required
• Produce high quality parts with low rejection rate
• Keep work space in a neat and safe organized manner
• Show mutual respect for coworkers
• Work well with other Custom Automation team members as needed
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Ability to train others in safe machine operation

• Minimum education required is High School/GED/Trade School
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and develop machined parts from these specifications
• Relevant machining experience including CNC mill/lathe
• Experienced with typical machine shop tools and equipment (horizontal saw, vertical saw, deburr, grinder, drill, forklift)
• Positive attitude, able to handle tense situations that arise
• Advanced experience with manual and CNC mill/lathe
• Ability to operate heavy duty equipment in a safe manner
• Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs. on a repetitive basis
