Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Team Lead to join our team and take charge of AutoStore, Case Conveyor, Pallet Conveyor, Spirals, Robotics, ML2s, and general electrical maintenance program. The Maintenance Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing a team of maintenance technicians and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment, electrical systems, and Robotic Cell technology. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the continuous and reliable operation of our facility.
This position will be working at a customer site in Charlotte, North Carolina 28278 for a fixed duration of 2 years (as a permanent Bastian Solutions employee). After the fixed duration, the employee will remain an employee of Bastian Solutions and transition into a new role which may require at least 50% travel.
Job Functions
Equipment Maintenance:
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for all material handling equipment, including AutoStore, Case Conveyor, Pallet Conveyor, Spirals, Robotics, and ML2’s.
Schedule and coordinate regular maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, with a specialization in Robotic Cell technology, and provide solutions to minimize production disruptions.
General Electrical Maintenance:
Oversee electrical systems maintenance, including wiring, circuits, and control panels.
Perform routine inspections and repairs to ensure the continuous and reliable operation of electrical equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to maintain safety and production efficiency.
Team Leadership:
Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
Delegate tasks and ensure that the team is operating efficiently.
Monitor team performance and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Lead safety training initiatives for the maintenance team and enforce a strong safety culture.
Inventory Management:
Maintain a spare parts inventory to ensure quick replacement of critical components, including those specific to Robotic Cell and electrical systems.
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure necessary parts and materials.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and spare parts usage, with a specific focus on Robotic Cell and electrical maintenance activities.
Generate reports on equipment performance and maintenance activities for management.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the maintenance department.
Implement best practices to optimize the performance of Robotic Cell systems, electrical systems, and other material handling equipment.
Travel Requirements
Less than 5% overnight travel (Travel expenses paid by Bastian Solutions)
Preferred Skills and Required Qualifications
2 Year / Associate Degree
A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, with a focus on material handling equipment and general electrical maintenance.
Strong knowledge of material handling systems, including, conveyor systems and automated equipment. AutoStore maintenance experience a plus.
Proficiency in general electrical systems maintenance and repair.
Proven experience utilizing voltmeters to troubleshoot electrical and controls issues.
Proven experience in supervising and leading a maintenance team.
Proven experience utilizing CMMS program.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in equipment maintenance.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a specialization in Robotic Cell technology and electrical systems a plus.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and components (up to 75 lbs).
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature
Salary : $56,000 - $83,000
