Passionate, team-oriented culture? Consider our Welder position here with Bastian Solutions! A Welder will be responsible for producing weldments for Material Handling Equipment projects. The main emphasis for this position is welding/fitting, light to moderate fabrication along with general repair and maintenance of Bastian Solutions equipment. A Welder will be responsible for maintaining tolerances and dimensions specified by individual prints. Job Functions: Rely on training protocols and previous professional skill to create a solution for project needs Maintain a healthy professional partnership with employees; positive, team-focused individual General knowledge of fabrication equipment including horizontal saws, lathes, mills, & drill presses Onsite weld test given prior to employment to establish skill set Build high quality welded parts from blueprints provided by our Engineering group Maintain provided tolerances for project specifications Ability to produce parts from sheet metal, plate, bar stock, and aluminum to create required parts Keep workspace in a neat and organized order Experienced in MIG welding practices; TIG is occasionally used on a based on customer demand Follow safety protocols per JSA (Job Safety Analysis) Preferred Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of HS Diploma or GED equivalent Previous experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment Proficient with MIG welding; TIG welding is a plus Experience with complex/custom welding projects are highly preferred
