Radio Frequency Comm Engineer

The Radio Frequency Comm Engineer will support the GeoXO Project in Waterton, CO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adapt existing designs from the legacy GOES spacecraft.


• Specifically focused on supporting the EPC portion of the UHF Receiver, design and testing.


• Plan the testing procedure to verify that the COMM UHR Receiver functions correctly under various conditions, including launch, orbit, and operational phases.


• Support the overall unit test campaign and test execution.


• Develop internal plans for the UHF Receiver hardware and software with the satellite's other systems to ensure seamless operation.


• Assist the internal ECAD team in translating schematics with Expedition software.


• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED:

• This position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status due to the sensitivity of customer related information.


• Must have a bachelor's degree in the field of engineering, physics, or a related field.


• Must have 7 years of recent and related work experience.


• Requires heritage or extensive EPC experience.


• Familiarity with both RF active and passive components to potentially assist with surge support on specifications review and preliminary subcontracting task needs.

WORK LOCATION:

• This position is located onsite.


• This position may require some travel.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED:

• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time).


• May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).


• Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.


• Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.

Salary Range: $100,000 / yr. depending on experience.
