This Quality Engineer will support the SLS Stages Element of the MSMAS contract located at Kennedy Space Center, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Technically responsible for interpreting, organizing, and coordinating assignments; plans and develops SMA engineering and assurance activity that have an important effect on major programs.
• Prepare, evaluate and, provide assessments of in-house and contracted quality related documentation including implementation of procedures.
• Review and assess quality documentation for compliance with NASA policies and requirements.
• Support manufacturing, inspection, and testing processes through documentation and evaluation.
• Participate in milestone reviews to ensure certification requirements are met.
• Develop and utilize tools to identify quality requirements for MSFC programs.
• Review drawings, procurement documents, and test results, addressing anomalies and discrepancies.
• Assist in MRB, corrective actions, and failure investigations to improve quality.
• Provide support on all quality areas to include Quality Plans, Surveillance Plans, Inspection Instructions, First Article Inspections, and NC resolutions.
• Provide guidance on quality plans, inspections, nonconformance resolutions.
• Develop and report Metrics as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
