What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Systems Application Administrator (BT-25032) position at Bastion Technologies?
The Safety Systems Application Administrator will support the Safety and Mission Assurance Support (SMAS) Contract supporting NASA at Stennis Space Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide software application administrative support (data entry, testing, validation, troubleshooting, etc.) and training to personnel for various systems used by SMA.
- Provide programmatic support to the execution of SMA programs, functions, and associated Agency Working Groups: SMA Directorate Management, Audit Program, Risk Management, Mishap Program, Facility Safety Program, Systems Safety Program, Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), Safety Culture Program.
- Plan and perform both internal and external quality and environmental audits to ensure compliance with ISO, NASA Policy, SSC Directives, and Work Instructions.
- Track Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) to closure, including re-verification. This includes walkthroughs of buildings to verify safety hazards no longer remain and to ensure that closed corrective actions remain in compliance.
- Evaluate and document audit trends for audits that take place at SSC and provide monthly metrics to NASA SMA regarding mishaps and close calls.
- Maintain System for Tracking Audits, Assessments and Review (STAR), Audit Tracking and Information System (ATIS), and SSC Risk Manager System (SRMS) online databases, train users, and serve as application administrator for Stennis Space Center (SSC) for these systems.
- Assist NASA SMA with filing mishap and close call information in the NASA Mishap Information System and entering regular updates into this system.
- Develop and/or update desk guides, work instructions, and other documentation, as requested.
- Interface with all levels of other technical disciplines, management, and customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED:

- Must have a bachelor's degree in quality management systems or a related field.
- Must have 5 years of recent and related work experience.
- In lieu of degree: Candidates with 9 years of recent and related work experience will be considered.
- Must be knowledgeable in AS9100, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 quality system requirements.
- Must be familiar with the NASA Audit Tracking and Information System, System for Tracking Audits, Assessments and Reviews, SafeSuite and other associated NASA databases.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical documents, and specification sheets.
DESIRED:
- The ideal candidate will have a familiarity with NASA Quality Systems and Procedures
- Knowledge of SSC rocket engine testing or aerospace related experience is necessary.
WORK LOCATION:
- This position is located onsite.
- This position may require some travel.
BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED:

- Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
