Software Assurance Manager (BT-25010)

The Software Assurance Manager will support the SMAS contract in Huntsville, AL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain appropriate staff levels to ensure successful execution of task orders.
• Support estimating of software assurance work for new and updated task orders.
• Initiate and support process initiatives to improve team effectiveness.
• Maintain strong customer and team member relationships to encourage productive collaboration.
• Manage the annual performance review process.
• Ensure adherence to common organizational processes (leave requests, time charges).
• Manage task order execution and budget constraints as applicable to software team.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED:

• This position requires US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
• Must have a bachelor's degree in the field of software engineering or aerospace engineering, or a related field.
• Must have 20 Years of recent and related work experience.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Demonstrated software experience through all lifecycle phases.
• Experience with mission assurance functions within NASA.
• Strong knowledge of NASA NPR 7150.2 and CMMI Level 2 and 3 capability and practice areas.

DESIRED:

• Software safety or system safety familiarity.
• CMMI or other auditing certification.

WORK LOCATION:

• This position is located onsite.
• This position offers a 9/80 schedule, every other Friday off.
• This position may require some travel.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED:

DRUG AND ALCOHOL SCREENING REQUIRED:

All Bastion employees must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen; some contracts require participation in periodic random drug and alcohol screening programs.

STANDARD BASTION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• All of Bastion's employees must be team players.
• Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.
• Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.
• Must have a strong work ethic and must be safety culture oriented.
• Must be organized with good time management skills.
• Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time).
• May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
• Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
• Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
