Job Summary: Leads the Environmental, Health and Safety program and manages the EH&S Team within the organization. Develops and implements policies, programs, and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of employees and the protection of the environment.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, and aligns EH&S policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensures that policies are communicated to all levels of the organization.
- Monitors and ensures continued compliance with environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations.
- Keeps abreast of changes in legislation and updates policies accordingly.
- Conducts regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
- Develops strategies to mitigate risks and prevent accidents or incidents.
- Provides EH&S training to employees at all levels.
- Creates and delivers educational programs on topics such as hazard communication, emergency response, and ergonomics.
- Investigates accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes.
- Develops and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Develops and implements emergency response plans.
- Conducts drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness for emergencies.
- Manages programs related to environmental protection, waste management, and sustainability.
- Ensures compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
- Maintains accurate records related to EH&S activities, incidents, and training.
- Prepares and submits required reports to regulatory agencies in a timely manner.
- Communicates EH&S goals and objectives to employees, management, and other stakeholders.
- Fosters a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.
- Conducts regular EH&S audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Works with internal and external auditors as needed.
- Collaborates with other department leaders to integrate EH&S considerations into business processes.
- Works with external agencies, such as OSHA or environmental agencies, as necessary.
- Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in EH&S performance.
- Implements and tracks the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in EH&S, Occupational or Industrial Health, or other related field and 5 years of EHS experience. Master’s degree or ASP/CSP certification preferred.

Work Environment:
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50lbs.
- Ability to climb and stoop as needed and sit/walk for prolonged periods during working hours.
- Ability to work in manufacturing facilities and regularly be exposed to varying and extreme temperatures, loud noises, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects and heavy forklift traffic.
Salary : $102,876 - $139,186
