Job Summary: The R&D Programming Intern will assist in the maintenance of existing CAD automation and the development of new automation tools.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops tools to help automate electrical diagrams using AutoCAD and Visual Studio Code.
- Reads and reviews electrical diagrams.
- Communicates with the Design/Drafting team to develop and maintain standards.
- Maintains legacy automation and designs.
- Fulfills job assignments promptly to meet project schedules

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree in Applied Sciences.
- Experience in computer programming using Python, VB.net, C# or other programming languages.
- Experience using computer-aided design such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or SolidEdge.
- Proficiency in utilizing a distributed version control system, particularly Git, withing a team setting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Self-directed and motivated.
- Communicates effectively in written and spoken form.
- Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.
- Works effectively in a team environment.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
Work Environment:
- Ability to sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
