Highly skilled Data Architect that must think through all aspects of the project, making high level architecture choices, selects technical standards with reusable components in mind, and works directly with our Business Partners to provide technical options to fit the result and or end user needs. This individual will participate in design, development, testing and support of applications and ensure successful delivery of business capabilities. This is a lead role with reporting responsibilities so instructing lower-level resources will be important. Our ideal candidate is an experienced architect who has been in critical mission ground up data initiatives within Medium sized companies.

Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Develops, mentors and coaches other team members such as DBA’s, Data Engineers, QA Automation Engineers, and Data Analysts.
• Analyze business needs and helps build the Enterprise Data Model for unstructured and structured data with experience applying dimensional modeling
• Continually research current and emerging technologies and proposing where and when changes are needed
• Ability to influence business outcomes using data stored within the product
• Ability to design with forward thinking designs for externally facing Data as a Service capabilities
• Assist in the selection of an Enterprise Data Dictionary tool that will support the data warehouse as well as data governance.
• Assist in the rollout development methodologies while maintaining Agile Principles

• Manages and support development and testing of software releases and upgrades. Provides ongoing direction and support of the platforms, including architecture, development, best practices, efficient design, etc.
• Promotes technical solution from development to production environments following established processes.
• Participates in Agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, iteration planning, demos retrospectives, program increment planning, etc.
• Performs peer reviews to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
• Works closely with business and Data Product Team Stakeholders to facilitate requirements and the design of technical solutions, communicates status and technical issues.
• Influences and educates stakeholders by prototyping, performing demos and promoting platform capabilities.
• Develops, mentors and coaches other team members.
• Maintain inventory of enterprise data architecture blueprints, CMDB integration catalog, and end user dictionary of data. Adhere to best practice standards for table names, column names, data types, etc.
• Data Security and Privacy: Work closely with the internal security team to ensure data security and privacy measures are integrated into the data architecture framework.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, Data Management or other related fields is preferred
• 10 years of related work experience, preferable in large-scale cloud based environments with 4 years of management experience
• Strong Communication Skills Required
