Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Software Sales Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will assist the sales team by providing technical expertise, helping explain the technical features of our product, and guiding software partners through the integration process using APIs. As a customer-facing technical expert, you will work closely with our partners to understand their integration needs and offer tailored solutions. After integration, you will continue to provide support to ensure smooth operation. You'll also collaborate with our product team to submit enhancement requests and stay up to date with product knowledge to effectively respond to partner inquiries.
Duties & Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Build strong relationships with software partners and provide them with technical expertise and guidance.
- Act as the bridge between our software partners and our development team to ensure smooth integration of our software products.
- Engage with prospects and customers to understand their technical requirements and use cases.
- Effectively communicate the technical functionality of our software products to prospects and customers.
- Provide support and troubleshoot production issues and enhancements for current software partners.
Additional Functions
- Provides escalated technical support to customers among a variety of product categories, resolving issues according to prescribed standards and procedures as needed with new accounts.
- Works collaboratively with other departments on projects and process improvement as necessary.
- Assist Sales Agents and Sales Managers as necessary.
- Attend and contribute to stand-ups and update JIRA to track progress.
- Stay up-to-date with latest industry standards.
- Completes other assigned duties as requested.
Requirements
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with experience in software development and web technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule. Up to three days per week may be worked remotely in accordance with the telecommuting policy.
Education & Experience
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge in JavaScript and REST principles
- Good knowledge of cloud-based solutions, SaaS, and PaaS offerings
- Proficient in full stack development preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Preferred 1 years of experience in software sales engineering, preferably in the API integration space
