About the position
This role is field-based and involves conducting on-site investigations to identify, designate, and map underground utilities using geophysical locating equipment. The SUE Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient utility data collection for engineering and construction projects. The SUE Analyst is a leader for the field crew(s) and supports department manager in managing, developing and coordinating field crew(s).
Requirements
- Proficiency in electromagnetic utility locating equipment and GPR systems.
- Expert knowledge and understanding of ASCE 38-22 standards and subsurface utility mapping best practices.
- Extensive experience with proper vac truck operation, maintenance, and safety protocols when working around underground utilities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, utility maps, and survey drawings.
- Knowledge of GPS, GIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with field teams.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when collecting field data.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to mentor and provide guidance to less experienced technicians.

Pay:
- Minimum $28 per hour depending upon experience
