What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist - PRN (As Needed) position at Bates County Memorial Hospital?
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Director of Laboratory, Lead Tech, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Laboratory Technician, or Laboratory Bench Technologist the phlebotomist collects, identifies, and distributes patient specimens in accordance with workload requirements. Performs point of care testing and other technical procedures related to patient care as a part of a multi-skilled effort. Performs routine technical, clerical, and cleaning tasks within the laboratory.
Hours and Schedule:
- No routinely scheduled hours.
- Opportunities to pick up open weekend shifts, day (0600-1530) and evening (1500-2330).
- Opportunities to pick up open shifts for call offs and vacation requests.
