What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Pharmacist position at Bates County Memorial Hospital?
The Staff Pharmacist’s function is the selection, procurement, storage, compounding, and distribution of all pharmaceuticals for patient services, promotion of safe and rational drug therapy, and the dissemination of drug information. Requires comprehensive knowledge of the practice of pharmacy, through knowledge of drug distribution systems, and familiarity with Federal and State laws concerning the regulations for controlled substances. Knowledge of accreditation, legal and certification requirements, complies with all applicable policies, procedures, codes and standards of accreditation bodies and the organization. Supervises pharmacy technicians. Responsible for the management of the Pharmacy Department in the absence of the Pharmacy Director.
