Job Description:
As a Lead Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering products to our customers and ensuring excellent customer service. You will be entrusted with operating a box truck, managing deliveries, and helping to ensure that the day's routes are completed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a box truck to transport products to customers.
- Lead a team of delivery drivers to ensure timely and safe deliveries.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed in a professional and safe manner, while adhering to traffic laws.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain the cleanliness of the truck.
- Communicate with the dispatch team regarding delays or issues during deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service at each delivery location.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and returns.
- Maintain and organize delivery schedules to optimize efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience driving box trucks.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
- Familiarity with routes in the Corpus Christi area is a plus.
- Ability to handle challenges on the road and in the field, including weather or traffic-related delays.
