Job Description
This role involves performing maintenance on equipment, machinery, and buildings in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical and mechanical trades and be able to troubleshoot issues with equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform general and preventive maintenance on all equipment, machinery, and buildings, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Work Order Management: Fill out work orders and checksheets in detail, noting any changes required for closure and ensuring that information matches time worked.
- Communication: Communicate professionally with supervisors, group leaders, and other associates on daily tasks completed and information required on tasks not completed at the end of shift.
- Troubleshooting: Develop working knowledge of mechanical equipment operation and efficiently troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns or improvements needed to enhance equipment.
- Electrical Systems: Gain working knowledge of electrical controls, controllers, and Programmable Logic Controller's (PLC) on equipment and troubleshoot electrical failures, determining needed repairs to improve operation.
Requirements
- Education: General Educational Diploma (GED) or High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma is required. Vocational and/or technical training in Electrical/Mechanical Trades or Engineering is also needed.
- Skills: Must have electrical experience and be proficient in using tools such as small hand tools, electrical metering devices, aerial boom and scissor lift equipment, confined space equipment, and forklifts.
- Physical Demands: Frequently required to sit, stand, bend, crouch, and crawl. May go into confined space areas. Able to frequently lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds with assistance.
