Your Role at Batesville:
As a Tooling Specialist, you will provide general engineering support to manufacturing in safety, quality, cost, productivity, and delivery with a focus on die work.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop die PMs and implement improvements to existing tooling.
- Conduct annual die review and follow up with required actions related to annual press inspections.
- Obtain quotes, write capital funding requests, coordinates machinery installations or tooling modifications or upgrades.
- Provides engineering services daily to maintenance and tool room.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
What You’ll Bring:
- Good working knowledge of forming of carbon steel, stainless, and non-ferrous substrate materials.
- Good working knowledge of draw, trim, cam, and progressive dies.
- Good working knowledge of stamping presses, screw machines, and roll form machines.
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot dies, presses, screw machines, and roll form machines.
- Good understanding of machining processes and safety controls.
- Proficient with CAD and AutoCAD -using CAD or AutoCAD to analyze existing tooling designs and improve on them.
- Developing blueprints for new tooling designs.
- Sharing designs with colleagues and implementing any relevant feedback in the new designs.
- Creating blueprints and designs using CAD or AutoCAD.
- Negotiating with vendors and contractors to secure the best deals.
- Strong background of tool and die metal stamping experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
Nice to Haves:
- Programming experience is a plus (robotic - Fanuc machines)
