What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host and Food Runner position at Bath Brewing Company?
We are looking for a Host/Food Runner to join our team and facilitate collaboration between our kitchen and wait staff. Host/Food Runner responsibilities include greeting guests at the door, managing a dinner waitlist and reservations, setting tables, serving food orders and clearing used dishes, and sanitizing tables and seats.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests as they enter the restaurant
- Manage a waitlist & reservations, as applicable
- Answer phones and take reservation requests
- Take to-go orders over the phone
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately
- Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature)
- Remove dirty dishes and utensils from tables
- Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests
- Skills
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
- Ability to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
- Availability to work various shifts, including weekends
- Multi-tasking abilities
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment'
