HOUSEKEEPING
Bath Community Hospital is a patient-focused small hospital in rural Virginia that offers excellent working conditions, a team environment, and opportunities for professional development. The Housekeeping Attendant cleans and services building areas according to established procedures. The position performs a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the facility in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleans assigned areas by washing furniture, tile, fixtures and equipment with germicidal cleaning solutions.
- Mops and buffs floor areas, vacuums carpets, spot cleans floors and carpets, using appropriate solutions and arranges furniture and equipment back in an orderly fashion after cleaning assigned area
- Collects waste from all areas of facility, sanitizes trash cans and keeps waste disposal area sanitized.
- Collects or distributes soiled or clean linen.
REQUIREMENTS
- Related experience in the health care setting (preferred)
- Knowledge of proper industrial housekeeping technique and procedures (required)
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies (required)
