POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analytics Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning and analysis functions, with a strong emphasis on reporting, analytics, and enhancing the overall productivity of the department. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and the ability to drive financial transformation and performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Data Sourcing and Integration:
o Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various SQL database tables.
o Connect and integrate multiple data sources within Power BI to create a unified data model.
o Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular audits and validations.
Data Analysis and Visualization:
o Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
o Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI for senior management.
o Create powerful managerial views in Power BI to support strategic decision-making,
o Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
o Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial data.
o Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to support decision-making processes.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
o Lead the annual budgeting process, including the preparation of detailed budgets and forecasts.
o Monitor and analyze budget performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
o Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment of budgets with strategic goals.
Financial Modeling:
o Develop and maintain complex financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
o Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate potential outcomes and risks.
o Continuously improve financial models to enhance accuracy and reliability.
Productivity and Efficiency:
o Lead initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function.
o Implement best practices and process improvements to streamline financial operations.
o Monitor and evaluate the performance of the finance team, providing coaching and development as needed.
Team Leadership:
o Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
o Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews with team members.
o Promote a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial data analytics or a related field.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
o Experience in financial modeling and forecasting.
o Proven track record of managing data analytics projects and delivering impactful insights.
o Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
o Advanced knowledge of Power BI for data visualization and reporting, with an ability to connect and integrate various data sources within Power BI.
o Excellent communication and presentation skills.
