Job Description   

The Federal Grants Administrator will play a key role in supporting the financial management of the Baton Rouge Area Foundation’s grant-funded initiatives, with a primary focus on the Solar For All program—a federal grant funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and administered by the Louisiana Department of Energy and Natural Resources. 


This position is responsible for managing the preparation of financial reimbursement packages, reviewing and coding timesheets, verifying vendor invoices, and submitting requests for advances or reimbursements in compliance with federal and state grant regulations. The analyst will also support other federally funded initiatives, as assigned. This role reports to the Comptroller and works in close collaboration with the Louisiana Clean Energy Fund (LCEF) team and external partners. 

 

Core job responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and submit financial reimbursement requests and advance payment requests under the Solar For All program. 
  • Maintain accurate, organized documentation in alignment with federal grant reporting standards. 
  • Work closely with program managers to track expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets. 
  • Ensure timesheets are accurately coded for reimbursement purposes. 
  • Review and organize vendor invoices to ensure they are compliant with grant reimbursement requirements. 
  • Assist with financial reporting, audits, and grant compliance documentation. 
  • Coordinate with state agencies and program partners to ensure timely and accurate submissions. 
  • Support Finance and LCEF team in special projects and cross-departmental initiatives as needed. 

 

Required Competencies and Characteristics: 

  • Strong knowledge of financial systems and grant compliance. 
  • Experience with federal grant reimbursement processes preferred. 
  • Experience working with government grants preferred. 
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 
  • Technologically savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), with experience in financial software or grants management systems. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • High degree of integrity and professionalism. 
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with critical thinking skills. 


Salary : $45,000 - $50,000
