As a Dispatcher for Baton Rouge Cargo Service, Inc., you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation services for our customers in an efficient and timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and dispatch orders for transportation services
- Monitor driver routes and provide necessary updates
- Communicate with consignees and drivers to ensure on-time delivery
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities
Qualification Requirements
- Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of geographical areas and routing principles
- Proficiency in computer systems and software
Preferred Skills:
- Associate Degree
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with TMS (Transportation Management Software) and systems
- Knowledge of transportation routes and regulations
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in dispatching or a related field
- Familiarity with dispatch software and systems
