OPERATIONS CLERK
Job Description:
The Operations Clerk is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the warehouse team. This role ensures efficient workflow, accurate record-keeping, and smooth coordination of shipments, inventory, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update records of shipments, inventory, and warehouse transactions.
- Process inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation.
- Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
- Generate and verify shipping labels, packing lists, and invoices.
- Assist in inventory control, including cycle counting and stock reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and warehouse procedures.
- Address any discrepancies or issues related to shipments and inventory.
- Provide administrative support such as data entry, filing, and report generation.
- Support warehouse staff with order processing and logistics coordination.
- Assist with other operational duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Oversee the processing of outbound orders.
- Verify Corresponding COA’s, Pack slip, BOL, and Pallet labels are together.
- Answer questions regarding product allocations and order changes.
- Verify orders VAS requirements and provide correct items.
- Monitor and assign partial pallets to orders when possible.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or administrative support preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with shipping software (e.g., FedEx, UPS, or freight carriers) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a warehouse setting, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures.
