PRODUCTION SHIFT LEAD
Job Description:
The Production Shift Lead will assist and oversee Production Shift Members. The Production Shift Lead will assist the production line in the preparation and packaging of food products. This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor.
This position is exclusively for weekends, offering a balanced schedule of three days on and four days off. The role involves working three 12-hour shifts, from Friday to Monday, with hours from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with startup, running and stopping/shut down of equipment.
• Assign and oversee team members assigned to production line, account for output of product and down time.
• Any tasks that support the processes of the production & packaging of the products on their line.
• Champion the Company’s Vision, Mission and Core Values in every action and decision.
• Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
• Perform assignments and directives provided by the Supervisor.
• Adheres to all safety guidelines Standards of performance (SOP’s), Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP’s), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).
• Must be willing and able to work on the other lines as required by the production schedule.
• Pull damaged or ineffective products off the line. Mark parts or product for identification. Communicates these events to the Production Supervisor.
• Assist in rail car positioning.
• Assist in breakdown repairs.
Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to work overtime including Weekends. Possesses physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods of time.
• Intermediate MS Office skills required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in the Food and Beverage industry preferred.
• Works efficiently and manages time effectively.
• Good planning and priority setting skills.
Education and Formal Training:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associates degree preferred.
• Wear all required PPE daily.
• Good verbal and written skills, communicates effectively with co- workers.
• And other duties as required within the department.
