We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler/alarm systems to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of fire safety standards and the ability to work independently in various environments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of fire sprinkler/alarm systems to ensure they meet safety standards and regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and testing of fire alarm systems, ensuring proper functionality.
- Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure that fire protection systems are installed according to design specifications.
- Utilize CAD software to assist in system design and layout for new installations or modifications.
- Stay updated on the latest industry standards, including NEC codes, to maintain compliance in all inspections.
- Provide technical support and guidance regarding low voltage systems and alarm system sales as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fire alarm inspections, construction inspection, or related field service roles.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, low voltage wiring, and relevant codes such as NEC.
- Familiarity with system design principles and the ability to read blueprints or technical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Certification or licensure in fire protection or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
