What are the responsibilities and job description for the SENIOR QUALITY MANAGER position at Battelle Energy Alliance dba Idaho National Laboratory?
Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Senior Quality Manager to work in our Environment, Safety, Health and Quality department. Our team works onsite with a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off.
You will report to the Quality Director as the Deputy. You will manage, implement, coordinate with cross-functional communication. Develop and establish operational policies within area managed. May participate in strategy development for Quality division.
- Responsibilities Include :
- Manage the activities of a department or a discipline through subordinate supervisors and professionals. Provide guidance to your team within the latitude of established company policies.
- Responsible for the effective operation of activities of major significance to our organization. Decisions impact others in the immediate team and influences methods and techniques.
- Execute financials, business planning, organizational priorities, and workforce. Ensure that budgets, schedules, and performance standards are realistically set and attained.
- Typically manage employees who perform similar tasks. May manage supervisors, exempt, and non-exempt staff.
- Receive objective based assignments and determine resources to meet schedules and goals.
- Responsible for single function, location, and technical discipline.
- Recommend changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect department or multiple disciplines. Help develop overall objectives and long-term goals of the department and possibly the division.
- Work with subordinate supervisors, customers, and functional peer group professionals, involving matters between sections and multiple units.
- Partner with key contacts outside own area of expertise and other external stakeholders.Communicate and present results and recommendations across discipline.
- Third level of management with human resource responsibilities. Typically, all work is performed through the management of others.
- Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelor of Science degree in technical field, such as engineering, manufacturing, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience with (2) years managment experience or 11 years of relevant experience with (2) years management experience in lieu of a degree.
