Reporting to the ATR Reactor Operators Senior Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to shadow and learn various Advanced Test Reactor Process and Utility operators, gaining first-hand experience and valuable insights into their job responsibilities. You will gain
- Hands on experience monitoring reactor plant equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Training to detect and prevent equipment failure through proactive and detail-oriented approach.
- Develop skills in maintaining accurate logbooks, records, and data logs, equipping you with essential technical documentation skills.
- Gain experience in performing shift turnovers, ensuring seamless transitions between team members.
- Apply human performance tools to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Cultivate a questioning attitude, empowering you to think critically and innovate.
- Embrace and implement Conduct of Operations principles for a robust operational framework.
This team works a 4x10 schedule and works onsite at the Advance Test Reactor next Idaho Falls Idaho. Start date and duration of internship vary based on project and student availability. You may be eligible for course credit for this internship if approved by your university.
