What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reliability and Risk Assessment Summer Internship position at Battelle Energy Alliance?

In this paid internship you will perform hazard analyses and data analyses and develop reliability and risk models of complex industrial systems, such as nuclear fusion machines and nuclear power plants co-located with hydrogen production facility. You will also support formal report preparation. Completion of classes in statistics, reliability and risk assessment, and/or nuclear power plant design is desired. Reporting to the Regulatory Support group. This team works a 9x80 schedule, and works onsite at our Idaho Falls campus. Start date and duration of internship vary based on project and student availability. You may be eligible for course credit for this internship if approved by your university.
Minimum Requirements:

Undergraduate Degree Program / Master Degree Program / Doctorate Degree Program enrolled full time at an accredited college/university studying Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field

A minimum overall 3.0 GPA

Undergraduate Internships ($26.16/hour - $31.47/hour)
