CDL 'A ' Truck Driver

Battery Outfitters, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated, hard-working individual to join our team! We desire Truck Drivers that have a passion for being on the road and understand that Safety and Delivering On Time are critical for their Job. The CDL-A Bulk Driver is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our retail/warehouse locations in Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Kansas City. Based out of Golden Missouri you will be transporting batteries and equipment to these locations Monday-Friday while earning $20.00 an hour, plus full benefits.

Qualifications include:

• At least 1year verifiable experience
• Two (2) years of recent verifiable tractortrailer experience
• No DUI in the last five (5) years
• No license suspensions in the last three (3) years
• No more than one (1) preventable accident in the last three (3) years
• No record of conviction of more than 2 motor vehicle violations during the past 3 years
• Pass a preemployment drug screen
• Pass a preemployment DOT physical or have one that is current
• Hazardous Material Certification
• Ability to lift, push or move freight that weighs an average of 4060 pounds and as much as 100 pounds
• Forklift or hand truck certification (ability to load/unload truck if necessary)

Responsibilities * Transport batteries to various retail and distribution centers

• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations
• Completing pretrip and posttrip inspections on trucks and trailers, including Cleaning truck daily after use.

Job Type: Full-time (30 – 40 hours per week)

Pay: $20.00 hour
