Battery Outfitters is currently pursuing a sales professional to join our team in the Oklahoma City market. If you are a self-starting, experienced salesperson, who is goal driven and desires a culture of servant leadership our company is the right fit. This position’s core task is to secure new clients through on-site visits. Must be able to understand & explain technical and sales info as well as maintain positive customer relations. Must be able to solicit, persuade and negotiate with new customers. Essential skills include the ability to effectively provide detailed information on various products, programs and services offered through our many channels of distribution.
Base salary with benefits, plus potential for high commission earnings.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Generating and developing businesses accounts for increased revenue through cold calling.
• Scheduling appointments, meeting with new and existing customers to review product requirements, and to determine other opportunities.
• Effective planning to conduct sales presentations by meeting customers physically on a daily basis.
• Designing professional demonstrations or presentations of company products or services while on-site.
• Direct liaison between the company and the customers for up-to-date conditions on pricing, service and the latest product release launches.
• Continuously updating all customers on company product modifications, changes, and enhancements.
• Keeping up-to-date knowledge on new products, procedures, services and tools by attending departmental and training meetings.
• Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner.
• Effectively attending conferences and trade shows.
• Using marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency by using relevant sales management tools.
• Organizing joint sales calls and attending them with vendors.
• Preparing reports for sales and marketing and maintaining expense accounts.
• Perform updating and maintenance of customer accounts including contact names, addresses, and numbers for future sales.
• Providing product quotes to customers as needed.
• Ensuring follow-up after passing leads to managers with complete customer profile information, calls-to-action, sources, dates.
Skills and Qualifications
• Capable of preserving confidential or sensitive information.
• Effective time management, organization and multi-tasking skills.
• Special people skills in dealing with customers and an outbound personality.
• Able to prospect new accounts.
• Able to upgrade and close Fortune 500 type business deals
• Very strong communication skills in writing and verbal.
• Very good team player and should work well under pressure.
• Able to demonstrate and foster the Company values.
• Prefer candidates be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Proven forecasting and customer service skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in sales or marketing preferred, or history of sales experience.
Compensation comes in the form of a salary plus commission. (BOE)
A company car and fuel will be provided.
Sales territory includes all Western Oklahoma.
