What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Accountant position at Battery Park Authority?
The Revenue Accountant is responsible for carrying out a range of functions in the areas of revenue receivables in a proficient and efficient manner.
Essential Duties:
- Assist in tracking and reconciling tenant/lease revenue accounts.
- Assist in ongoing update of revenue tracking sheets.
- Assist in reporting and tracking of revenue and related bank accounts
- Assist with all aspects of revenue cycle including lease invoicing.
- Assist in funding and reconciling operating accounts.
- Assist in managing the receivable cash management process and related payment mechanisms.
- Prepare bank and investment approvals.
- Interact with the managing agent to monitor reporting of financial documents as per least requirements.
- Prepare special report and complete special projects.
- Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures and ensure compliance with leases, Federal, State and local requirements.
- Contribute to month-end close and year-end close activities and deliverable, including account reconciliation, analytics, and other analysis as needed.
- Assist in annual audit; provide necessary accounting information and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with reconciliations and prepare financial schedules.
- Interact with all management and accounting staff.
- Perform other duties within the scope of the position as required by the Treasury/Revenue Accountant, Deputy Treasurer and the CFO
Education & Experience:
A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting is required. A minimum of four (4) years of general accounting/accounts receivable/payable experience is required.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
