Responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist in performing orthodontic procedures, such as placing and removing braces, taking X-rays, and conducting oral examinations.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide instructions on how to care for their braces or other orthodontic appliances.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow to ensure efficient and timely care.
Details:
- Tuesdays 1:30-6:00, Wednesdays 7:15-5:00, Thursdays 7:15-5:00 (Summer Hours Tuesday-Thursday: 8:30-4:30)

- Pay Range: $20 - $27 Hourly *based on experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an orthodontic practice.
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology.
- Certification from the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB).
Skills:
In this role, your required skills in dental assisting and orthodontics will be utilized on a daily basis. You will need to have a strong understanding of orthodontic procedures and terminology to assist the orthodontist effectively. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in educating patients and providing them with the necessary instructions for their orthodontic care. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask will be crucial in maintaining accurate patient records and managing appointments. Additionally, your preferred skills in digital orthodontic software and bilingual proficiency will be beneficial in providing efficient and personalized care to our diverse patient population.
