What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Battistoni Italian Specialty Meats?
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, self-motivated material handler with excellent attendance, attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as a team. Familiarity with HACCP and GMPs a plus.
You will be responsible for reading the daily production schedule and pulling / delivering the raw material bins to each of the production lines. Raw material bins are stored in push back racking in our cooler. Knowledge of walk behind pallet lifter and push back racking a plus.
Throughout the day you will remove and store finished goods and keep the production lines stocked with raw materials as needed.
At the end of the day you will gas flush the raw material bins before putting back in the racking.
You will keep inventory locations updated.
Our production shift starts at 7:00 and ends at 3:30pm however this position starts at 6:30am so that raw materials can be pulled so the lines can start right at 7:00am. Therefore there is some built in overtime in the job.
We are located along a bus route - there is a bus stop directly in front of the building.
