Job Summary: Battle Ground Academy, a college preparatory school for students in grades PreK-12, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Volleyball Program Director and Varsity Head Volleyball Coach to lead our high-performing volleyball program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the court, with a proven track record of coaching success at the high school, club, or collegiate level. Applicants should exhibit astute coaching skills and a commitment to support and nurture “Character, Scholarship, Excellence” on the field and in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Volleyball program, including coaching (Upper School), training, and mentorship
- Develop and implement game strategies, practice plans, and conditioning programs that align with the school’s values and athletic goals.
- Foster a positive, competitive, and supportive team culture that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic success.
- Collaborate with assistant coaches, athletic trainers, strength and conditioning staff, and other staff to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded program.
- Manage team logistics, including scheduling, travel arrangements, and communication with parents and administration.
- Attract, retain, and develop student-athletes for long-term success in volleyball and life.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience coaching volleyball at the high school, club, or collegiate level (head coaching experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of volleyball techniques, strategies, and conditioning methods.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate student-athletes to achieve their best on the court and in the classroom.
- Dedication to fostering a relational culture of respect, accountability, and hard work.

- USA Volleyball Coach Certification (such as CAP I or CAP II) is a plus.
