We are seeking an EH&S Manager to join our team, providing leadership for all aspects of environmental, health & safety, including ownership of training, inspections, recordkeeping and reporting.
This is a key role in ensuring the well-being of our employees, protecting the environment, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective physical security programs to ensure both plant and personnel safety.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, permits, and registrations are up-to-date.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate hazardous conditions and practices, including hazardous communication.
- Promote a culture of safety and strategic training among employees.
- Lead the Safety Committee and Emergency Management Response Coordination.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop comprehensive and clear EH&S compliant training, auditing, and operations.
- Investigate and respond to facility incidents to provide tactical support and crisis management.
- Design and manage training program curriculums to direct company behavior, including lock out/tag out, hazardous waste, emergency response, hazard communication, spill response, Pollution Incident Prevention Plan, hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and related.
- Demonstrate leadership in deploying practical and cost-effective solutions for enhancing workplace quality.
- Oversee operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems for cab pretreat lines, including discharge sampling and filing quarterly reports.
- Maintain required Ohio EPA air emissions records and file quarterly and annual reports.
- Maintain records for the facility's spill prevention control & countermeasures plan (SPCC) and keep the plan up-to-date.
- Recommend projects for reducing the company's environmental footprint, minimizing waste, and conserving energy.
- Direct activities of EHS Technicians to implement and sustain environmental, health, and safety initiatives.
