Job Title: Senior Project Engineer
Job Summary:
Are you ready to take your project engineering career to the next level? As a Senior Project Engineer (Sr. PE), you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing technical execution, supporting contract administration, tracking budgets, scheduling, and coordinating field and office operations. This is a dynamic role for someone eager to take on more responsibility, support key project management tasks, and contribute to successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contract Management:
- Assist in managing change orders within preconstruction agreements.
- Support the preparation of construction agreements by reviewing and assembling necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations under Project Manager (PM) guidance.
2. Financial Development:
- Assist in tracking project financials, including reviewing budgets and cost forecasting.
- Support PM in subcontractor buyout and cost management strategies.
3. Governmental / Regulatory:
- Help track regulatory approvals and liaise with authorities to ensure compliance.
4. Estimating / Cost Management:
- Support PM in modifying and maintaining the budget model estimates as the design evolves.
- Assist in evaluating and comparing subcontractor bids for scope alignment.
5. Scheduling:
- Assist in reviewing project schedules and tracking progress updates.
- Coordinate with field teams to align activities with planned milestones.
6. Subcontracts / Procurement:
- Assist in preparing subcontract agreements and procurement documentation.
- Ensure procurement strategies align with the project schedule and scope.
7. Construction / Quality Assurance:
- Lead coordination of submittal processes, ensuring timely review and approval.
- Conduct preliminary drawing and specification reviews.
- Assist in tracking and processing bulletins, ensuring proper cost and schedule impact assessments.
- Monitor and manage work authorizations, verifying accuracy and compliance.
- Actively participate in OAC meetings, supporting communication between stakeholders.
- Assist in project closeout documentation, ensuring all required items are completed.
- Support final walkthroughs and punch list tracking.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Successful completion of Project Engineer responsibilities for at least 1–2 years at a general contractor.
- Experience in contract administration, scheduling, and budget tracking with growing autonomy.
- Exposure to estimating, subcontractor negotiations, and project execution.
Technical & Professional Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project).
- Experience using Procore and Bluebeam for document management.
- Strong ability to coordinate technical documents and processes.
- Developing leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Pay Transparency:
The salary range for this position is $77,000.000-$82,000.00 annually, depending on experience and qualifications, in accordance with applicable state pay transparency laws.
