What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Puller position at BAUER Equipment America?
BAUER Equipment America is a leading global provider of foundation equipment and support to the foundation construction industry. We have offices and dealer network with locations throughout the United States. We are headquartered in Conroe, Texas and we have one other location in California.
We are looking for a Production Puller for our Conroe office. This position would report to the Inventory Control Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Issues parts to rig work orders in MIGO, marks deficits on picklists and removes picklists from rig binder and prints signage (combining into individual packets).
- Pulls parts utilizing forklift/order picker/stand up forklift according to the information provided on pull tickets grouping these into work orders.
- Labels work orders with signage and stages them in the red bins inside of the designated production rig pulling bay boxes/pallets.
- Labels larger outside parts with a paint pen clearly marking them with the rig #.
- Takes pictures of every part that is pulled and makes sure each part is labeled with the SAP Bauer part number.
- Uploads pictures into files on the J Drive, sorted by rig # and order #.
- Communicates with assembly building material handler on when pallets are ready to be verified.
- Upon verification, takes pallets to assembly staging area/weld shop staging area utilizing the green stackable pallets/bay boxes.
- Issues smaller work orders (not rig binders) in MIGO in SAP and pulls them physically.
- Groups and labels these work orders and delivers them to the appropriate destinations.
- Maintains the organization and cleanliness of their area in the warehouse.
- Submits supply orders for any needed materials for production assembly.
- Performs daily/weekly cleaning/organization of entire warehouse including trash and sweeping.
- If production pulling department is caught up, assists other departments (i.e., shipping, receiving, production/fabrication or production/assembly).
- Participates in cycle counts/inventory.
- Proforms any other tasks as deemed necessary by management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education and Training – High school diploma, or as deemed sufficient by management.
- Technical Requirements – Proficient in Microsoft office and experienced with ERP software. Able to apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagrammatic, or schedule form. Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must possess excellent communication skills. Willing and able to travel including internationally and available to work extended hours when required to complete projects on time.
- Experience – 3-5 years of directly related training and/or experience.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, sit, kneel, crawl, see, read, hear, have the physical and mental ability to travel independently and the physical and mental ability to comply with customary workshop, office, job site work environments, safety requirements and other customary regulations and requirements in these environments.
