Service Advisor

Bavarian Performance is looking for an experienced Service Advisor to join our team. We are a European auto shop servicing BMW, Mini, Porsche, Audi, VW, Land Rover, and more. We pride ourselves in excellent customer service. Our environment is relaxed and efficient with a good balance of hustle and fun.

Position is Monday - Friday 9:00 - 5:30, customer facing. Must be willing to learn.

Pay range: $25-$38 per hour

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for all customers calling or entering the facility- offering prompt, courteous, and effective service.
• Schedule service for customers either in person, by phone or using our online scheduling tools, managing the calendar of the technicians to maximize vehicles serviced and maintain timelines.
• Communicate with customers to determine the nature of their mechanical problem(s), and obtain accurate customer and vehicle data.
• Effectively explain the cost for the service they have requested, including diagnostic estimates, and receive approval.
• Write up detailed ROs (Repair Orders) including all relevant information, labor times, and parts.
• Distribute work between technicians efficiently, maximizing technician strengths and balancing promised production to customers.
• Oversee the progress of each RO. Make repair recommendations and quotes based on information from technicians and obtain authorization from customers on updated cost and timeline.
• Document all vehicle information during repairs including tire pressures, inspection notes, recommendations, etc. Ensuring that the vehicle profile has complete information.
• Answer technical questions about vehicle problems, warranties, services, and repairs.
• Manage the ordering of all parts and stock items with the needs of each RO and the technicians in mind.
• Keep positive relationships with vendors and competitively price out parts to ensure the most cost effective methods.
• Maintain current knowledge of vehicle operation, warranties, campaigns, and other service information, such as state lemon laws and Technical Service Bulletins (TSB)
• Ensures that all completed repairs have gone through quality control and/or a road test.
