Role Description
Join the foundational composite fabrication team that is building the next generation of VTOL UAV's and satellite communications equipment. As a composite technician at Baxter Aerospace, you will work on fabricating high-performance parts for next-generation applications.
Responsibilities
- Precise layup of aircraft and satellite communications composite parts.
- Aid in the kitting and finishing of composite parts.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine processes and optimize efficiency.
- Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail, whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
- In process inspection, and documentation of composite parts.
- Interpret engineering drawings and follow manufacturing work instructions.
- Composite assembly.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. person.
- Willing to commute or relocate.
- 2 years composite lamination experience, preferably in aerospace.
- Competent with hand tools associated with the kitting, layup, and finishing of composite parts.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Positive attitude and a commitment toward continuous improvement.
- Succeeds at being a team player and working independently.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience trimming, drilling, and painting composite parts.
- Aircraft structural assembly experience.
- Experience working in an aircraft production environment.
- Dimensional inspection experience utilizing calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauge pins.
- Training and managing less experienced technicians.
Excepted Hours/Schedule
- Full Time On Site: Monday-Friday 8am-6pm
