Baxter Community School is looking for a building & grounds maintenace/tranportation director. The candidates must have a CDL with a passenger endorsement (district can help obtain). Management skills preferred. Self starting, team oriented, goal minded individuals with a positive attitude. Baxter Community School District is a K-12 school uniquely housed in one building with approximately 430 students. It sits in a growing community of approximately 1600 people. Baxter Iowa is centrally located amongst Des Moines, Marshalltown, Ames, and Newton. The district boasts a brand new high school; the elementary wing was built in 2006; and the middle school recently updated. The district also has an outdoor sports complex and playground in which the building & grounds maintenance/transportation director will oversee. The district has a fleet of eleven vehicles this position will also oversee as well as organizing travel for district activites.
