Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Open Heart Surgical Technologists should meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program or comparable previous experience.
- Completion of Certification Examination, with one year of employment preferred, and maintains certification by participating in continuing education activities.
- Well-developed hand and eye coordination in imparting instrumentation to the surgeon and surgical field.
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral. Is able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing diverse perspectives.
- Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the BRMC philosophy, values, mission and vision.
Safety Sensitive Designation:
This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.
